Corning is a city in Clay County, Arkansas, United States. It is situated in the northeastern corner of the state, approximately 16 miles north of Piggott, Arkansas, and 25 miles east of Missouri. It is part of the Jonesboro Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population of Corning was 3,377 as of the 2010 census. The city is home to the Corning Municipal Airport and the annual Four Rivers Festival. The area is known for its abundant outdoor recreational activities, including hunting and fishing. The economy of the city is primarily based on agriculture and manufacturing industries. Corning is also home to several historic landmarks, including the Corning War Memorial and the Wynn Hotel building.
